This is probably one of the easiest things to accomplish on an outboard motor. The hardest part is finding reasonable spark plugs.

Outboard Info
Brand Mercury, 200 E.F.I Saltwater
Year 2004

First thing you need to do is find the kind of plug you need you can do this by taking a plug out and looking at the plug to find the number.

Prep. Purchase 6 Spark Plugs. Then go to your boat and remove the engine cover.

STEP 1.) Once your engine cover is removed locate. your spark plugs there should be 3 on each side.

Step 2.) Remove your spark plug wires and remove the spark plugs.

Step 3.) Inspect your spark Plugs for damage, excessive oil and water. Notice the Black portion of this old plug. It is spray painted Black, this means this plug was in the engine when it was painted at the factory and has never been changed before.

Step 4.) Take your new plugs out and replace all your old plugs. Keep your box for the plugs and keep your older plugs. You never know when you may be out on the water and may need a replacement plug or a fellow boater may need a replacement plug.

Step 5.) Start your motor and ensure it runs fine after you have replaced all your plugs.
